Career
My professional path began with hands-on management experience at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Starting as a Management Trainee, I quickly progressed to Branch Manager, learning the ropes of operations, P&L management, B2B sales, and team leadership. A key achievement during this time was transforming customer satisfaction ratings at a challenging airport location from worst to first, demonstrating my commitment to user experience and results early on.
Seeking a role that better blended my analytical and creative interests, I joined Brookshire Grocery Company. My journey there started with website content updates but quickly evolved. As a Marketing Analyst, I immersed myself in customer loyalty data, using our CRM to uncover insights, develop detailed customer personas, and deliver analyses that directly influenced marketing and merchandising strategies. This analytical foundation proved invaluable as I moved into marketing and digital roles.
Progressing to Marketing Specialist and ultimately becoming a founding member of the Digital Marketing team, I played a key role in BGC's digital transformation. I contributed significantly to major initiatives, including the end-to-end redesign and migration of two major websites to WordPress, and the development and launch support for the company's mobile app and the complex YourPoints loyalty program. This involved acting as a crucial liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating needs into requirements, participating in Agile processes, managing vendor relationships, and contributing to product strategy.
In 2013, family circumstances led me to take on the responsibility of managing LP Browning, my family's independent oil and gas business. As Operations Manager (and Trustee), I gained comprehensive experience directing daily operations, managing budgets and financials, negotiating contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and navigating significant challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic's market volatility. This period honed my business acumen and project management skills, culminating in managing the eventual sale of the company's production assets.
Now, having formalized my passion for product strategy and development with a Product Management certification from UT Austin's McCombs School of Business, I am eager to leverage my diverse background – combining data analysis, digital marketing expertise, project leadership, and operational management – in a dedicated Product Owner/Manager or strategic Digital Marketing role.
In 2023, I received a certification in product management from The McComb’s School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. This intense 18-week program focused on gaining and refining skills required for product management.
